A bit more bulk than his brother, more muscle.
Fur type: Black, gray and brown. He has a nasty scar on his chest, testament to his battle with Bounder. He has other scars as well, but none are as nasty as the one on his chest. Brown stripes run under both eyes, and he has a mark on his back in the shape of horse shoe.

If Bounder is day, then his brother is night. Marus is the complete opposite of his brother in every way. He is quick to judge, and even more quick to attack if he feels you've betrayed him. He's not one to make friends; he'd much rather use you. However, he understands the importance of allies. It simply takes him awhile to trust others. Even more so than Bounder...

Marus, younger brother to Bounder, is the son of Twilight and Canyon, the wandering rogue. As a pup, Marus found himself being moved from one spot to the next. Canyon's fault really, he couldn't bring himself to settle in one area. Marus was happy despite this, and the bond he shared with his brother was unbreakable. So it seemed...
Marus would find himself without a father at a very young age. Canyon had split, deciding he wasn't cut out to being a father. The brothers were crushed, but it was Marus who would feel the sting of bitterness first. He felt as though Canyon had used their mother. Twilight tried to make him see differently, claiming that Canyon had loved them. But as soon as he questioned her as to why Canyon had left, she broke down. The truth was Canyon wasn't ready to be a father. It would make Marus despise Canyon all the more.
What he didn't know was that his mother was ill, and with each passing day, she was getting far worse. Bounder and Marus did all that they could for her, Marus being the more obsessed of the two. He willed her to fight, to get better, but it was no use. She was too far gone to be saved. He was so obsessed that he failed to realize the change in his brother, who was beginning to show signs of their father. Then came the morning of Bounder's departure...
Marus had put up with Bounder 'til now, but this was too much. He confronted his brother, demanding he stay with wild accusations. He accused Bounder of being just like their father, which started a fight. Twilight broke the two of them up, and she let Bounder go with her blessing. To this day, Marus does not understand. Why? Why did she let him go? Bounder was a traitor...
Twilight died soon after he left. Her suffering was finally over. Not so for her son. A part of him died with his mother, leaving Marus to thirst for revenge. He blamed Canyon and Bounder both for the death of his mother. However, he chose to hold Bounder accountable. Why? For walking out on Twilight while she was sick.
Marus buried his mother and set out to find Bounder, the rage burning within him. He would find his brother, and then, he would make Bounder pay...
