History:
Faolan grew up very oddly for a wolf. In fact, it wasn't till the turned 10 years old that she knew she was one. This is her story so far...
Her parents were very cautious, in the past they had many run-ins with poachers and hunters. Her mother was pregnant with Faolan, Rafe and Guadalupe (her two brothers). It was then that poachers attacked them again while they were travelling - they felt that the pups should be born in a more safe environment, away from the threat of humans who wished to exterminate them for selfish reasons. Her father fought of the lead poacher and stalled them temporarily, enough for him and his mate to get away. He turned around to make sure that the poachers were far enought behind, seeing his mate tiring from carrying thier litter. That was when he was shot. The bullet grazed his right eye and the bridge of his muzzle; scarring him and blinding him in that eye.
The two got away and hid within the alleyways of a city, figuring that the poachers wouldn't be able to use thier guns among the public in case they shot a human. They found that to survive they would have to use thier human form to get food without bieng found out. Eventually, the pups were born, in human form. Thier mother and father were so overjoyed with them that they wanted thier life to go as smoothly as possible, no threat of hunters or poachers. They kept thier children in human form and never notified them that they were wolves underneath the illusion. The parents got jobs and the children were sent to school like any normal human child. Things were good until one day when at school, one of Faolans friends which was a young boy, fell over, Faolan reached out with her hand to stop the fall. He was suprised to feel teeth bite down into his arm instead of the grip of her hand. He screamed and refused to play or go anywhere near her anymore, he knew she was different. but yet, she didn't understand fully what happened. School rung home, her parents were notified, similar things had happened with her two brothers at school, things which they couldn't explain either.
Thier parents decided that they should tell them, so that later they could be carefull when at school, hoping that they would understand the situation and importance of staying hidden. They led thier children out of the city into the wild, showing them what life as a wolf would be like. Thier children where shocked when thier mother and father appeared to change into wolves before them. They too felt a change and when they looked at each other they were wolves also. "This is what we are, and theres no changing that." Thier mother said. "You must understand that this appearance of ours may well mean our death one day, there are humans who don't accept us and want to get rid. That is why we stay hidden." A gunshot sounded nearby and thier parents quickly hid them in the undergrowth. Shouts and more gunshots went off, drawing nearer. Thier mother sat on the entrance to where her pups were concealing them while thier father ran off to draw the poachers away. A bullet from behind entered the back of her neck and emerged from her throat. She slumped forward dead as the hidden poacher walked from his hiding place to make the final blow. He put his foot on the side of her head and pointed the barrel of the gun to her skull before pulling the trigger. Not far off echoed another gunshot, a few birds flew up into the sky, a sign that something else bad had happened. Moments later the rest of the poachers walked back to the one with thier mother, dragging a male wolf carcass with them, thier father. The pups looked from the safety of the undergrowth at thier dead parents and the poachers.
The three pups grew up together, with no parents, it was tough, but they got by. Guadalupe (Dalu for short; nicknamed by Faolan and Rafe), decided he wasn't going to risk life in the wild, that way thier parents wouldn't have died for nothing. So he moved back into the city and started to make a business. Rafe decided he wanted to try living in the wild, he roamed, staying in the harshest territory possible so he could gain experience and still wouldn't be found by poachers who were not brave enough to follow. Faolan however, decided that her two brothers were complete and utter idiot. They hadn't come to terms with what had happened, they didn't seem to fully understand that they would never see mother and father again. They argued and told her that she just wouldn't let the past go, it was better to move on, its what they would have wanted.
Faolan left her brothers behind, she wanted nothing to do with stupid humans in the city, she couldn't follow Rafe, he wanted to find his place in the world alone. So, she wandered back to the scene where her mother and father died. Sniffing the earth, she picked up the scent of the poachers, she remembered. It was an old scent from a while ago and faint, but it was still there nevertheless. From there, she decided that, unlike her brothers, she would avenge her parents deaths. It was the only thing she felt she could do before she would be able to move on.
Faolan travelled a great distance, her mind set on finding those poachers. She entered a large, bare forest. It was grey with no life whatsoever. The Forest of Death. It was when she was passing through there that she met a white wolf known as Jarla. At first, Faolan was unsure about the white femme, but soon they grew good friends. Faolan told Jarla of her past and vice-versa. Jarla told Faolan that she would teach her how to fight so that she would be ready for when she found the poachers. True to her word, Jarla trained Faolan as an apprentice of sort. The two soon found the edge of The Forest of Death and was about to leave when Jarla announced that she couldn't go on with Faolan. She had business in the forest that needed urgently sorting and couldn't go on. Faolan said her goodbyes, she didn't wan't go leave Jarla behind but knew that she must avenge her parents. So she left.
Faolan endured many different troubles as she went. Still on the trail or those poachers. She was padding through quite a dry area of indians land, one of the few areas that had trees that provided shade. She was suddenly surrounded by smoke and while looking around she saw a tri-hued femme perched in a tree above her. The tree next to her was ablaze but she seemed unusually calm. She leapt out and landed soundlessly infront of Faolan. She led Faolan out of the bush fire and to an oasis not far into the indians land. Faolan was thankful to the femme who saved her life. As she left the indian lands the femme announced that she was called Khaza Tsubaki, she told Faolan to look her up if she was ever in the indian lands again. Faolan smiled and left Khaza behind who obviously had a course of her own to take.
When she was passing threw yet another city she found herself caught by the pound who gave her to a scientific research lab as one of the staff was interested in her. They tied her down in an operating room and was about to inject her with something when she turned and bit the scientist seriously before breaking free. She was soon re-captured and restrained in an iscolated room. She had a chain collar padlocked around her neck and one around her back right ankle which was bolted to the ground to restrain her further in her cage. She was darted with a drug to send her to sleep till the next morning which the scientists would continue with the experiment. During the night two bright bi-coloured orbs glowed through the darkness at her. Still dazed, she couldn't do much but growl in defence and watch what the thing did. It poked its head through the bars as it looked at her just out of reach. Faolan watched as the light of the moon glowed brighter as the cloud covering it passed by, illuminating the room. The thing watching her was a fox. It was quite odd looking for a fox. It ears were considerably larger than that of an ordinary fox and it was a lot fluffier. It seemed smaller too, quite petite for what she thought its species was. However, Faolan was still on guard. The fox suddenly sat back and curled it tail around its paws neatly as it spoke. "So, they got you too huh? Looks like your in a bit of a predicament. Want any help escaping? Though you'll have to work a bit too." It's voice was cunning yet soft and kind. Faolan didn't know whether she could trust it. The fox slotted its thing body between the bars easily and walked closer to Faolan. "I can unhook your chain bolted to the ground, but you'll have to find your own way out of the cage, its not that hard, i'll give you clues." It walked over to the chain attached to Faolan and begun to fiddle around with the bolt that kept the chain attached to the metal stuck in the ground. After a while, it unscrewed and came loose, freeing Faolan. The fox stepped out of the cage and waited. "Your turn." Faolan looked around and saw a slight bend in the bars at the back of the cage. The fox hopped on top of the cage and leant over to watch as Faolan managed to bend the bars a little more and squeeze through. "Impressive, now then." The fox leapt onto Faolan's back and clung on as she tried to shake her off. "Listen, because of my size, i'm not all that fast compared to you, so it's easier if i stay here and give you directions on the way out. That way we'll both escape without me getting left behind and you getting lost. Agreed? I scratch your back you scratch mine." The fox and Faolan ran through the building, the fox telling Faolan right and left. Soon they leapt through a window to freedom. The fox announced it was called Tokala and said that Faolan would need her help if she wished to find the Poachers as Tokala knew thier scent extremely well after a few run-ins with them herself. She knew where they were heading.
Faolan and Tokala now search for the poachers together, Tokala is still riding on Faolans back...

Twilight - Vanessa Carlton
I was stained, with a role, in a day not my own
But as you walked into my life you showed what needed to be shown
And I always knew, what was right I just didn't know that I might
Peel away and choose to see with such a different sight
And I will never see the sky the same way and
I will learn to say good-bye to yesterday and
I will never cease to fly if held down and
I will always reach too high cause I've seen, cause I've seen, twilight
Never cared never wanted
Never sought to see what flaunted
So on purpose so in my face Couldn't see beyond my own place
And it was so easy not to behold what I could hold
But you taught me I could change Whatever came within these shallow days
And I will never see the sky the same way and
I will learn to say good-bye to yesterday and
I will never cease to fly if held down and
I will always reach too high cause I've seen, cause I've seen
As the sun shines through it pushes away and pushes ahead
It fills the warmth of blue and leaves a chill instead and
I didn't know that I could be so blind to all that is so real
But as illusion dies I see there is so much to be revealed
And I will never see the sky the same way and
I will learn to say good-bye to yesterday and
I will never cease to fly if held down and
I will always reach too high cause I've seen, cause I've seen, twilight
I was stained, by a role, in a day not my own
