Meaning: One who leaps or jumps. Also, an evil person (But Bounder isn't like that D:)
Pronunciation: Bound-er
Origin: In a den, in the prairies.

He has a notch in his left ear from a family squabble. His muzzle is gray, but flecked with patches of brown here and there. Eyes are pools of gold. In his human guise, his hair is brown, and his eyes are very light blue.
.:Personality:.
Distant and moody, though he is known to crack a smile every so often. However, trust doesn't come that easy, and friends aren't exactly on his 'to-do' list. However, if you succeed in befriending Bounder, he'll defend to the death. Just don't end up betraying his trust. If you do, it's almost impossible to get back on his good side. He respects only those who deserve it. He doesn't care much for crowds, and he tends to shy away from them if he can.

Bounder was one of two pups, the son of Twilight and the roguish Canyon. Twilight would raise them; Canyon would keep his distance. He wasn't happy being a father, and he had an itch to explore. And so, the little family was constantly on the move, hurrying from one spot to the next, which would lead to the breaking of said family.
Something had to give; that something was Twilight. This wandering here and there began to take a toll on her health. However, she managed to hide her condition from the rest of her family. Bounder never suspected that his family was falling apart, but it was. His mother was getting sicker, and his father was pretty much out of the picture. To him, the pups were a nuisance. He'd sometimes be gone for days before coming to check on his mate, and when he did, he always ignored the whelps at his heels. Miserable creatures, not worthy of having Twilight as their mother. They were parasites to the timber. He loved Twilight, but not their children, and in the end, he walked out.
Though she tried raising them on her own, Twilight soon took a turn for the worse. The strain was too much, and they wound up having to take care of her instead. Bounder would never forgive forgive his father for walking out on his family. However, he soon found himself fed up with this way of life. He loved his mother with all his heart, but he wanted to see what the world had to offer. Twilight wanted a better life for her sons, and she let Bounder go. It was for the best, as she later told Marus. There was nothing left for him here. The minute Canyon left was the minute their family ceased to be. Marus, unfortunately, refused to believe this, claiming Bounder was no better than Canyon. The two of them fought and then parted on unequal terms. Twilight died soon after he left, but he wouldn't know of this. Nor did he know of his brother's plans for revenge.
Bounder now wanders throughout the country, hoping to find where he belongs.
